My friend, of long standing (many decades), and I decided we would celebrate our 65th birthdays by going to Italy and taking cooking class. Good things even worked out better when we chose the family of Culture Discovery; in fact, I am hoping my son and daughter-in-law will be able to have the same adventure when their babies are older. We experienced a touch of the way everyday life is lived in another environment, wonderful food and people, and visits to ancient places viewed in present time. Most impressive was both the preliminary coordination and the execution thereof; you just don't have to worry, experienced international traveler, or not. If someone is looking for a small group, true experience of Italy, Culture Discovery is the right place to go.
