Traveling with Culture Discovery Vacations is always an adventure but we also learn so much along the way. How does balsamico get its distinctive flavour (and how to spot imposters!)? How do gondoliers balance on such narrow craft (we visited a gondola maker to learn the "physics")? How does a vintner ensure his organic wine stays pure (one winery ages his wine in pottery amphorae). We always leave Italy with a greater understanding of her culture and diversity.
Oh yes, we also learn how to cook Italian classics and local specialties from Michelin 5-Star chefs, local traditional chefs and professional pasta chefs. There is never a shortage of food or top quality wine to fuel our curiosity.
Did you know that Lamborghini only makes 3,200 hand assembled cars per year? We toured their factory to see them being built. The Ferrari Museum houses 3 levels of classic cars, all in mint condition.
