Took this trip with 6 girlfriends - we all loved the experience. Can't really call it a "trip," because it was so much more - an experience of Italian people, modern and ancient culture/history, wine and food. Our Italian family was so welcoming - genuine, engaging - we all enjoyed talking/cooking/interacting/playing cards and music, as well as singing together. One day the seas were too rough for Capri, so the team was able to rearrange our time so Friday became Monday and Monday became Friday - have you ever seen 2 people on 3 phones at the same time! Every adventure we went on was unique - Roman Ruins at Pompeii, award-winning wines with lunch, top Italian Baker's desserts at lunch, buying custom-made sandals or fabulous linen clothing, visiting a medieval paper mill, making limoncello, swimming in the Mediterranean. By the way, the Mediterranean is SO blue. The venue is very relaxing - beautiful pool, covered patio for cooking lessons and meals, patio area for sunning and chatting, and beautifully frescoed ceilings where you can check your email and communicate with home. It is truly an "open" kitchen - raid the fridge if you're hungry, make yourself an Aperol spritz, or have a glass of wine. It was a wonderful vacation - might actually take my husband next time!
