This pear and Sagrantino wine cake is the perfect dessert in the autumn months. It is very unique and delicious.

Using a whisk, beat together the butter and sugar.
Add the eggs, whisk till fluffy
Slowly add the flour, the spelt flour, Sagrantino and milk, mixing well.
Mix in the baking powder.
Pour batter into a buttered pan.
Wash and slice the pears and arrange pear slices on the top of the batter. Sprinkle with some brown sugar.
Bake at 350F for 30 minutes
