I thought I was just going on vacation to Italy that would involve some cooking and some sight-seeing....What I got was an incredible experience of complete submersion into the Italian way of life. Michael and the wonderful folks at Culture Discovery truly embrace you from day one and make you feel like family. They make you feel like you are home. You can't help but go back in time a bit when you take your first step in Soriano nel Cimino. The week is the perfect blend of the Culture Discovery team sharing with you and teaching you the wonderful recipes and ways to cook and prepare a truly wonderful traditional Italian meal just as their mother and grandmothers did before them along with 'off the beaten path' excursions into the history and culture of where they call home from harvesting grapes, to tasting wine, olive oil and cheese to visitng medieval towns. If you have ever wanted to get away and experience the authenticity of another culture and way of life this is the trip for you!! I can't wait to go back and truly look forward to Alumni week!!!!!
