I will start off with a rare complaint about the Culture Discovery Vacations experience - Trip Advisor only allows a rating of Five Stars and not Ten ! We recently returned from Wine & Cooking Under the Tuscan & Umbrian Sun followed by Wine, Cooking, Truffles & Chocolate: A Foodie's Paradise in Umbria and Tuscany. Expectations were very high based on Trip Advisor Reviews and lengthy descriptions on the magnificent CDV website, but they were exceeded. We were hoping for and experienced two very different weeks after deciding to maximize our plane trip to Rome. The accommodations were entirely different as were cooking locations and chefs, the towns visited, the meals prepared and eaten in Restaurants, the activities, and the mix of other Guests. Every one of the CDV personnel ( yes even you, Ian ) is sincerely interested in becoming your friend, pleasing you, and making memories. Michael has assembled a wonderful Team and information before going ( thanks, Rocky ) that will let you know what you are in for. Would we recommend the CDV version of Culture Immersion ? We are already looking at an Amalfi Coast week in 2015 and will re-live the adventure with every spoonful of Fennel Pollen..... Grazie, Sophie, from Giada & Fabio.
