Culture Discovery Vacations and Website Terms and Policies

As much as we love the family feel of what we do, sadly we cannot avoid what the lawyers tell us, and we want to make sure all of our guests and potential guests have a firm understanding of what they can and cannot expect. Additionally, while we never sell any of your information, and treat your privacy the way we would want our own treated, there are all sorts of laws all over the world that require us to disclaim it all and explain what many of the technical terms are all about. This includes things like "cookies", without which no modern website could function, or making sure you know that we don't want you to hack our website. The terms also explain our company policies for our tours. Some are things most people consider quite important, like what our cancellation policy is, and some are often just considered legalese, such as the fact that we have to inform you that we will store your name and contact info in order for you to come on our trips. All of that considered, please have a look at all of the documents that govern what we do and how we do it. Some of the documents here are just for the sake of browsing our website, and some are documents we may require guests on our tours to complete and sign after booking with us.

This describes in detail how we treat your privacy, what we do with your personal data, why we do it, and how we do it. Note that we never sell any of your data. Cookie Notice

Cookies are small files that are placed on your computer for a period of time to help websites remember you, and things you have done on websites that use those same cookies. Some cookies are very good, as without them we could not use most modern web browser features or find security vulnerabilities on our website! The cookies that most people do not like are the ones that share data with advertising networks and cause many people to feel like every step they take is being watched, everywhere they go. We don't use the later kind, as we never sell our data to anyone, nor do we display advertising on our website from 3rd parties. Terms of Service for Our Tours

The Terms of Service for Our Tours are specifically for guests on our vacations. We put this on our public website to allow you to see them while considering one of our vacations. Like the other documents, much of this is legalese required by the lawyers, however, this outlines your rights and our rights when you book and travel with us. Waiver of Liability for Our Tours

This waiver is specifically for guests on our vacations. We put this on our public website to allow you to see it while considering one of our vacations. In a nutshell, this says that if you understand that there is risk involved on our vacations. For example, if you do a cooking class, the knives will be sharp and you may cut yourself. Sample Medical Form

While our tours are not geared toward people looking for death-defying adventure, there is considerable walking on many of our itineraries. Some of them have us on small, private boats, and on farms. Additionally, medical services abroad are not necessarily as good as what you may be accustomed to at home, so we want to make sure you are in good enough shape to participate in our vacations. Impress-what? It is Latin for "Imprint", and is a feature of a website that is required by German-Speaking countries. While we are a USA-Based company, we have this here just to dot all of our i's and cross all of our t's.
