I traveled to Soriano with Culture Discovery Vacations last week. Keep this option in mind if you want to experience the "true" Italy. Cooking classes in the villa were
Ike being in an Italian kitchen, but you are totally hands on. You do get out of the kitchen and visit Assisi, Montepulciano, Montalcino and Pienza. A visit to the Daruda Pottery Center is well worth the trip- prices are phenomenal. Soriano is a great little village with friendly locals. Put on your comfy walking shoes and explore the local shops, restaurants and churches. During our visit, we were entertained by live music, religious celebration and fireworks. The accommodations were charming and comfortable. This is a perfect trip for couples and singles. Everyone is made to feel welcome and you become an instant family and long time friends. Can't say enough about the team at Culture Discovery. Carla made sure we prepared our meals in the true Italian way. Linda and Charlotte ensured we experienced the cities we visited. Sergio is, hands down, the best driver I've even been with in Italy. Rocky pulls it all together to make it a true memorable experience. Grazie, Culture Discovery, for a delightful week!
