The Culture Discovery Vacations family experience was superb from our pick up in Fiumicino to our return to the airport. We were met in Soriano and welcomed by Linda our guide, but more importantly, our new friend, and shown to our apartment overlooking the piazza. We met the rest of our group a few hours later and the fun began.
The cooking classes at the Villa were great. Carla made the sessions both informative and fun. The winery tours and tastings included two amazing and historical cellars, Da Ricci and Fattoria Madonna Delle Macchie.
The highlight of the week for me was the visit to Castello di Proceno where we met the Duchess of the Castle. This truly amazing woman guided us through her ancestral home and castle providing personal insights and anecdotes along the way. She took us to the top of the tower, to the restaurant on the castle grounds where she even helped serve our tables and explained the dishes. AN ABSOLUTELY AMAZING WOMAN!
As new members of the family, I can confidently say that we will be back.
