This was our first trip with Culture Discovery. While we read reviews and descriptions, we weren't sure what to expect. It exceeded our expectations. Our host, Mimmo, was fabulous. He made sure we had everything we need and he accomodated all the various needs of the group. The excursions were fantastic. Tours of the wineries were personal and we were guided by the owners/winemakers. They were off the beaten path and not places that we would have found on our own. The villa we stayed in Chianti was very charming and comfortable and very italian (not a cookie cutter hotel). And somehow, while we ate and drank non-stop, because we were active and the food is so clean, we didn't gain a pound. I can't wait to go on another CDV trip!
