I can't say enough about the fantastic group of people who opened their hearts, home and kitchen to show us authentic Italian lifestyle! Amazing but simple food that is so satisfying! Beginning the day with pastries and cappuccino's, wonderful trips to wineries, olive oil mill, a farm and pottery place, and meals at some. So many flavors! I especially enjoyed learning about olive oil production and harvest, with the limited time frame and work involved. I loved digging my hands into a bowl to mix meatballs, shape pastry, prepare chicken and then enjoy wine before cleaning up and relaxing. Our home away from home was spacious, with many stairs! Especially difficult for someone with vision problems! but I managed! Larissa, our guide, was so exuberant and kept things very lively!
Thank you so much Carla, Maggie, Larissa and the entire team for making this a trip of a lifetime. I can't wait to travel again with Culture Discovery, only next time with my husbands.
