Private City Homes

Our guests in Foligno stay in their own private homes in the city center, rather than a hotel. The homes are dispersed around the city-center, such that while you are with us, your neighbors will be the local residence. True local living. Each of our homes is a beautiful places that dates back to medieval times or the renaissance. Each one of them is unique, and has been completely restored with modern conveniences, while maintaining their original beauty. There is absolutely no better way to immerse yourself into the local culture.

Immersed in Local Tradition

Since the homes are peppered here and there in the city, is becomes quickly obvious that the neighbor next door is not another traveler. Instead, they are locals. You will find yourself getting to know them with that daily 'good morning' wave, smile and Buongiorno. They are often as curious about you as you are about them, and while many have become accustomed to running into our guests, you are always a welcome visitor. You will see them here and there in the city, and really get a sense of belonging as you weave yourself into the fabric of Italian life. You may even find some of your neighbors offering to buy you a drink before you know it.

Location

While our homes are not clustered together, they are all close. The city center of Foligno is relatively small. So the place we meet each morning for breakfast before our day starts is quite close. All of the homes are within several hundred feet of one another, so getting to and from is very quick, and incredibly pleasant each day. Unlike a hotel, in which you simply go to your room at night, you will literally be going back to your local city home.

Amenities

All of our city homes are actual homes that were private residences at one time. As such, they all have private bathrooms, kitchens, refrigerators, etc. All of our homes are also air conditioned and heated. We also have television in each home with satellite service, allowing you English Language programming. Nearly all of our homes also offer free wireless Internet. Given that these are actual homes, each is completely different from the other. There is no "standardized model" like most hotels provide. Additionally, with the exception of a mid-week cleaning and linen change, there is no housekeeping or room service.

How Homes Are Assigned to Guests

Since each home is unique, so is the floor plan and the decor. Some are larger than others, some have valley views, some have castle views, and some have village views. Some offer balconies, while others do not. Some have two bedrooms, and some are one bedroom homes.

We don't charge different prices for different homes, so we do our best to assign homes based on what we know about guests that are booking. If you are a married couple booking, we will give you a one bedroom home if available. we try to assign the 2 bedroom homes to couples or friends traveling together. If you request a specific home, we will try to be sure you get the one you desire. However, we also have to consider logistics. For example, we cannot put a solo traveler in a 2 bedroom home that sleeps 4 when we have two couples traveling together that would like to share a home, and that is all we have left.
